George Washington University: Political Communication and International Affairs
During my time at CBTU I was able to contribute to a wide range of projects. As an intern I gave feedback on scripts, filmed video profiles of CBTU staff, advised on business strategies, and wrote blogs promoting the EU film industry. Working at CBTU helped me bridge the gap between the conceptual lessons of the classroom, and the real world demands of the industry. The experience I gained from CBTU enhanced my knowledge of the global film industry and advanced me towards my goal of becoming a documentary filmmaker.
Lafayette College: Film & Media Studies and Writing
While interning for CBTU, I created and designed the current website, updated Facebook, Instagram, Vimeo, and the blog. I was able to aid with graphic design and merchandising for CBTU promotional items, as well as market CBTU's services. Interning for CBTU deepened my understanding of the film industry both in the United States and in Europe. I also loved working in a tight-knit atmosphere at the office, while at the same time experiencing the inner workings of a global, international company.
Indiana University Bloomington: Telecommunications and Communications & Culture
I started the CBTU Instagram and Tumblr pages. I had the chance to create some Prague-specific blog content, as well as make some changes to CBTU's original webpage. Working with CBTU, I loved getting a feel for what the European film industry is like. I really value the experience of working with someone like Asmara and also the whole CBTU team. Each person brought something culturally rich and valuable to the team. After graduation, I'll be working for Cook Medical in Bloomington IN with their video content department.
The George Washington University: Journalism and Mass Communication
As an intern for CBTU, I helped to create and distribute promotional materials like CBTU stickers, and I wrote and designed content for the Tumblr and Instagram pages on a weekly basis. I enjoyed learning things about the film industry in the Czech Republic through this internship, which I had never had experience with before. I am hoping to work in marketing, PR or editorial in New York City after graduating.
